Autopayment system is messed up and the representatives are negligent. Before an auto payment was due, I contacted Nelnet hoping to reschedule the due date.
The representative stated that she could not doing anything about the upcoming payment but that the next new due date autopayment would occur the following month. Instead, I was whacked with two autopayments the same month. If you have either experienced the same, I'd like to know. Also please contact the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to report.
If enough complaints are made, a class action lawsuit against Nelnet could occur. Also, the website is not user friendly in that it does not reasonably provide the user the correct minimum monthly payments due.
I ran into a problem where multiple payments were due in a month. Therefore, I had no idea what was due and when it was due.
